As the tone of voice for this client varies based on brand, product, context, and usage, we developed several process guidelines to guarantee consistency, quality, and accuracy of the translated text. This system includes the following standards:
- Translations are completed by medically trained, in-market linguists who have been rigorously tested.
- Stringent review processes are built into each workflow to confirm accuracy, including important details such as copyrights, trademarks, and dosage equivalents.
- Partnership with account managers to ensure legal compliance within translated copy.
- Multi-step artwork review process to guarantee that final translated assets are free from error and meet all necessary legal requirements.
- Certificates of translation are completed and delivered along with every file to guarantee legitimacy.
For this pharmaceutical company, we also implemented a Local Client review step. This gives internal in-market employees an opportunity to review and approve our final translations ahead of releasing into each market. Working directly into TTP, they are free to make any necessary adjustments to the text, based on their knowledge of brand-specific terms and internal translation conventions. This process provides an added layer of accuracy and consistency within internal and external communications. Once approved, adjustments are saved and updated in the TTP Translation Memory and used in all communications moving forward.
In sustained collaboration on a wide variety of projects, we have worked hard to build an expansive translation memory for this particular pharmaceutical client, which contains 300,000 translation entries, spanning over 30 markets. The content contained in this database is reliable and adaptable, permitting us to deploy the translations across a variety of platforms, keeping branding and consistency at the forefront.
